This Season...

I truly LOVE the season that we are in right now.  I never thought I would say that considering that Brandon's still a resident and such, but I'm feeling so very blessed today.  I love days like this!  (plus, a phone/camera clean out in between)

* I love that my kids are still small enough that they always want their momma.

After a bath...love the smell of clean babies!

* I love the stages that they're in.  They can now play with each other and torture each other at the same time :)
@ the library

* I love that all they want to do, is go outside.

* I love that Aiden is so excited about learning EVERYTHING!  He soaks it up, and is the smartest 3 year old I know!
baking a cake for daddy

* I love that Aiden is a mommas boy.  Every time we're outside, he goes to our rose bushes and brings me one.  He then waits for his big mommy hug and kiss :)
Our date night :)

* I love that Ainsley is finding her independence and stands up for herself.  She is so adventurous and doesn't let anyone (mainly her brother) take her toys :)
climbing....

*  I love that, believe it or not, we always have changes to look forward to.  We get to move every 3-4 years.  I know this is crazy, but it's kind of fun planning together.  We talk about our next house, next baby, next job decision (regarding a fellowship or maybe not), the next big move (which city will it be?) etc.  We get to meet so many new people.  Our lives are never boring or mundane.  All these changes, have realllllly made us depend on each other and less on others.  I am stronger, and more grateful, despite the difficulties during this season.  We've learned some hard life lessons, but that's what they're for, right?
he wanted to sit in her bed and play while I put away her clothes....kept them contained for a few minutes anyway.

* I love that I get to stay at home.  Even if that means, endless piles of laundry, dishes, ironing, changing wet sheets, etc.  I get to know my children, and BE with them!  By doing these little things, I support my husband.
what happens when my phone rings and I leave Aiden unattended for too long in the bathroom :/

* I love that I'm a good kind of busy.  I know I probably whine a lot about the endless housework and such, but its a good, staying at home, kind of busy.  I have the opportunity to say "no" to the housework whenever I want, and stop to play with the kiddos.  No meetings, schedules, paperwork to stress over.

* I love that my husband has such an important job.  It is such a great example to our kids.  Aiden knows that his daddy is always helping others.
starting to wonder if he actually ever really "studies" :)

* I love that me and Brandon have the relationship that we do.   A couple of nights ago, we just sat in bed and laughed for an hour over the silliest things.  I'm thankful that we still have fun together, and he makes me laugh.

* I love that we got married and had kids when we did.
I'm trying to run their bath water, I look over my shoulder and this is happening....Aiden had brought his sleep nap mat in and Ainsley is at it again...really?!?

* I love that we have found a church that we love.

* I love the things God is doing in my life.

* I love that times are not always easy.
Popsicle break....they HAVE to have a washcloth or towel wrapped around it

* I love that we decided to go through medical school.  And yes I do say WE went to medical school or WE are in residency because I am who I am from these experiences and from being in those places. I know I will continue to grow and I can't wait to see what I can or get to do in the next season because WE chose the journey we did.
