My sister and I both have birthdays in June, and this year certain things due to some crazy schedules weren't jiving. So, my mom gets this bright idea to just have a birthday weekend just us girls. This way we could celebrate together! We've never done this, but it was definitely alot of fun and Im thinking it should be a tradition from now on. :)

We decided to visit Kansas City. There is so much there that we miss. The entertainment, shopping, dining, and BBQ!
We tried to throw some "Aiden and Ainsley" things in there so we just wouldn't be shopping the entire trip, which believe me, is not hard to do!
Since Aiden's latest interest is sea creatures, we took him to the new aquarium. I believe it has only been opened for a couple of months. It was a nice one, not as big as the Tulsa, OK aquarium but still really good. He loved it! We spent the entire afternoon there. The look of excitement on his face when we entered the first room where fish completely surround you was priceless.

We also stopped by Kaleodiscope by Hallmark. It is a really neat atmosphere where they encourage kids to use their imagination and just simply create. They have so many fun activities set up such as making your own puzzle, blacklight painting, sound caves, etc.

We made sure Aiden got to do one of his favorite things which is, swimming! We had some late nights swimming at the hotel.
We came back home on my birthday so I could see my hubby!
