My Sweet Boy

Aiden Funnies (quotes and stories from the last month)
- we finally have the potty training down!!!!  We've had no accidents except for the occasional night accident, but that is okay with us!
- when he does need to go the bathroom, he will dance around and say "I think I need to tell you something..."  we ask "yes?"  and he replies "go pee pee".
- " dad, I seriously need to do my business"
- he leads into a story by saying, "you remember..."
- when he doesn't want to do something, "I can't want to do..."
- is always saying Thomas the train quotes. When something exciting happens, he will say "cinders and ashes" or "bust my buffers"
- when he hears a sound, "who's making all that ROCKET (aka racket)"
- "I adorable" then he will tilt his head towards his shoulder....sooo cute!
  - shrugging his shoulders, "I'm just grumpy"
- "mmm, let me think", then will put his hand to his chin.
- when leaving a restaurant, the server said bye to aiden and he responds with "bye stinky girl".  Luckily, she did NOT hear him.

Firsts for my sweet boy...
- bowling! He LOVED knocking all the "pennies"(pins) over. Lol.
- we have finally settled in a church that we all love! Aiden has always sat with us in church, or I would go with him to assist in his class. Now, he is going all by himself. He cries for the first few minutes which of course breaks my heart, but I know this is good for him. It's always harder for the parents than the kiddos... His favorite bible stories right now are Noah and the "big boat", Daniel and the lions, and he is really concerned about the baby in the basket (Moses). He loves the song "Jesus loves the little children" and "praise Him".
- at meal times and bed times he will join in on the prayers...melt your heart!

What he's been up to...
- we go to a mom and tot class once a week. This gives him some play time with kids his age, and an out for all his energy! He has become very brave over the last month. He's jumping on the trampoline, walking balance beams, and doing back flips on mats. One of his favorites lately is running and jumping into the foam pit.
- playing trains...surprise, surprise ;) he loves his playroom with all the tracks, but occasionally I will find him in in Ainsley's room playing. The bottom of her crib has a ledge that he loves to use as a track. He loves to watch the wheels and how they work...he's going to be an engineer!

- puzzles! He's getting very good at figuring out the pieces. We are doing about 30 piece Thomas puzzles.
- he has become very attached to a new show on the Disney channel, Octonauts.  He loves pretending that he is the medic, helping us.  He is constantly singing the theme song.  When the show is over, he jumps off the couch and stomps and claps along with it.  When I ask him to clean up his toys, I will tell him its his "mission".  He gets very excited, and says "right away, captain!"
- reading books, he can "read" probably close to 10 books by himself almost following the book word for word. Hey, reciting is a phase in the reading process! ;)
- Working on saying his full name.  Aunt Shelby had called him "Aiden Gregory" one day and he quickly corrected her stating his name was "Aiden Gibsome"  :)
- He can currently spell his name and "nap"
- becoming VERY opinionated these days and harder to reason with.  He will argue what color the sky is some days :/
