Two and Two Week Milestones

Aiden Gregory, you are the smartest two year old I've ever met! You constantly amaze us with your ever expanding vocabulary and reasoning. You are a complete mommas boy, and always have been. I love our relationship and the fact that you consider me your best friend. At home, you talk non-stop and are very rambunctious, but when around other kids are very shy. You like me to be very close in proximity when you are playing with someone new. You are a very confident and independent lil guy. Daddy and I have joked that we will probably be called up to your school quite a bit in the future. :). You love to talk! You get your feelings hurt, when in church, we ask you to whisper. You can't hear a tune without swaying or shaking your booty. At gymnastics this week, music was playing over the speakers. As class was over, the teacher called everyone over to go to the candy box, all the other children take off running, but lil Aiden is shaking it all the way there! Sooo cute!

*you speak very clearly for your age but here are some funny things you've said this month...
- When we've left something at the house that you want you will yell "stop the car!" or if in the store "stop the buggy".
- "chucky arms" (lucky charms)
- a rooster says "crock and a doo

* you are a very picky eater, and would rather be playing. Some of your favorite things include... pizza, spaghetti, grapes, strawberries, cheese, corn, green beans, broccoli, and purple hull peas. Your not much of a meat or bread eater. Milk is your always your beverage choice and would drink a gallon a day if I let you.

* you are still in your crib and will sleep all night. You go to bed around 8:30-9:00 at night, and wake up around 7:00am. Your nap time is usually from 1-3, which you are usually ready for. Thankfully, you usually like to lay down for your nap. At night, is a different story. Haha! You try everything to stall bedtime. You will ask for "one more story", say you need to peepee or just yell " momma, come see me".

* we started potty training 3 weeks before baby sister arrived. We threw away all the diapers and you wore big boy underwear at day 1 of training. By day 2, you had the basic training for going pee pee down. You caught on fast! Once sister got here, you regressed a lil but once I got you on a reward system, you did great! Your rewards at first were "big red gooey fish" (Swedish fish candy.). Then once we implemented the sticker charts, moved on to lil toys once they were filled up.

* we recently started going to gymnastics and the library for story time. I'm so excited I get to stay home and do these things with you. You are loving both!

* you love to play with your trains! You tend to be a home body because that is all you want to do at times! You are beginning to really use your imagination when playing. You also love to play outside. You like to draw with chalk, blow bubbles, mow with daddy, swim, eat popsicles, and find "coconuts" (nuts or acorns that fall off the trees).

* you love music and are starting to sing along with everything. It is the cutest!

* your favorite movie is "misty island rescue" or "day of the diesels" ...anything Thomas the Train! Your favorite tv show is "mickey mouse clubhouse".

* you LOVE to read! We would read books all day if I let you. Once we start reading, it's hard for us to stop! You don't really have just one favorite but you definitely love reading about trains. You can tell us all the train cars names and parts , and even have some memorizec and will recite them. :).

* you have been a big brother for almost 3 weeks, and have been wonderful! I could not be more proud of the way you have taken to her. You are constantly concerned about her and wanting to check on her. You like to watch her get her bath, diaper changed, swing, etc. When she's crying, it upsets you and you run to her saying "its okay". You always think she needs her paci, and will cram it in her mouth. You even call her "lil precious". :o). Awww! You have been my lil helper.

Ainsley DeNae, you are our sweet lil angel! You have been such a good baby. You are laid back and easy to consol. You are very content as long as you have your paci. You are gaining weight wonderfully. In 10 days, you gained 12 oz. You wake up around 1:00 and 5:00 to eat. When awake, that is what you always think you need to do. :). You LOVE to be held, cuddled, swaddled, and rocked. You are so spoiled already! You are now able to have a bath in your baby tub. As long as you have paci, you don't mind it. Your newborn clothes are beginning to get very snug! You might end up being bigger than your brother. Lol. When I was pregnant with you, the dr was concerned about several things because I/you were measuring so big, but now we know your just a big girl. You will kill me for saying this when your older, but your toots and burps are the loudest! You daddy has joked that he will definitely be telling those stories when you start dating. I'm so glad your here and healthy!!! I can't wait to see you grow!

Aiden and Ainsley, you are mommy and daddy's greatest blessing! We love you so much!
