Our house has been out of commission for the last week! I was hit by this terrible stomach virus late Monday night and really am just starting to feel like myself again. Tuesday, Brandon called in half a day but couldn't get off in the afternoon because there was only one other Dr. there and he had patients. After, seeing me almost pass out from dehydration and obviously not being able to take care of two kids while running back and forth to the bathroom, he called his mom to come and stay with me. She was up here by that afternoon, and thank goodness she was! She was able to keep the kids in the play room so I could rest. Her plan was to stay til Thursday morning, but then it hit Aiden. I slept in Aiden's room that night, where he was up every hour, sometimes several times an hour vomiting. To see your child sick is the absolute worst! He kept crying, "being sick is no fun". As I was rocking him at 2 in the morning (I was afraid to let him lay down b/c he was vomiting so often) all I could think about was...at least I know it will only last a few more hours. My heart broke for families whose children are sick and don't have that to say. I cannot even imagine. Thank You God, for all of our health!
He is still not eating much at all, but just drinking. And, of course, the only thing he wants to drink is milk! My mom came up this past weekend to help with all the sanitizing, and let me recover from now 2 sleepless nights! What wonderful parents we have! I seriously don't know what we would do without them! Thank goodness, Brandon and Ainsley has not gotten it. I pray it stays that way!
As a precaution, we stayed home from gymnastics today to just catch up. We've had a pajama day and just been plain lazy!
